Analysis of a Planning Meeting: Mayor Lightfoot’s Inaugural Budget Address

In the Fall 2019 section of History and Theory of Urban Planning, students analyzed public meetings on urban planning, explicitly linking to theories found in class readings.  The paper included background information, a summary of the issues covered, and an analysis and critique of the meeting process.  I wrote about Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's Inaugural Budget Address, which took place in the midst of the Chicago Teachers Union and SEIU 73's historic 2019 strike.
